KANSAS CITY, Missouri — On Tuesday afternoon, Mayor Sly James appointed Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood resident Amber Hackett to the city’s Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners. Hackett replaces McClain Bryant who recently joined the Mayor’s staff.

Hackett hails from Corpus Christi, Texas and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas. She received her law degree from the University of Oklahoma. She currently serves as the Director of Corporate and Community Relations at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City.
