Sunday evening just after 10 p.m. Kansas City Missouri police officers were dispatched to a house in the 3700 block of East 7th Street on 8th shooting call.
Upon arrival there was a disturbance in the front yard with multiple people fighting.
Once that situation was brought under control Officers determined there was a female shooting victim inside the residence.
Emergency Medical Services responded to the area and declared the woman deceased at the scene.
A person of interest is in custody at this time and police are not searching for any additional subjects.
