This week we learned more about Global FC, a community development project in Northeast Kansas City bridging the gap between immigrants and refugees and the communities they now call home. Education Director Celeste Williams and Mentor Coordinator Patricia Carter share how their tutoring, soccer and mentorship programs help youth adjust to their new lives. Both born internationally, they are on a mission to ease the stress on youth as they navigate school and use soccer as a universal language to make friends while taking pride in their unique cultures.
