Provided by the City of Kansas City,  participating neighborhood associations sponsor a dumpster for $60 a piece — allowing Northeast residents to dispose of items for free, Indian Mound Neighborhood Association board member Kay Hopkins shared, Saturday.

Saturday marked the fifth and final individual dumpster day of this season, following previous events, which started in April.

However, along with Northeast Alliance Together (NEAT),  Northeast neighborhoods will host the semi-annual Community Clean Up on Oct. 5.  Locations will include Budd Park (5001 St. John Ave). This event will involve city-provided garbage trucks to collect bulky items in addition to brush and leaf collection, beginning at 8 a.m. and concluding at noon —  or when trucks are full.
