KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Historic Northeast neighborhoods, the Northeast News, Mattie Rhodes, the city and the Independence Avenue CID are teaming up for a clean-up in the Northeast this weekend.

Team Up to Clean Up takes place from 8 a.m. – noon, Saturday, April 4, with compactor trucks located at both Concourse and Budd Park. Open to Kansas City, Mo., residents only, the trucks will be on hand to collect trash, yard waste and bulky items. There will also be a tire disposal trailer available at Concourse Park.

If you need assistance with bulky items, you can schedule an appointment to have your items picked-up by calling 3-1-1 or 816-513-1313. If you have old paint, lawn and garden chemicals, automobile fluids, pesticides, batteries, or other hazardous waste, you can drop-off the materials at 4707 Deramus Ave., for free.
