On Wednesday, Dec. 18, McDonald’s, 5347 Independence Ave., re-opened to the public after months of renovations. The fast food restaurant at the corner of corner of Independence and Hardesty received a complete update with contemporary exterior, new lighting and cafe-style seating for the dining areas. Built in 1971, the restaurant has been a staple to the Northeast community for many years. On the day it reopened, patrons praised the new look, but we even happier their neighborhood McDonald’s had reopened.
