Nancy DiCavolo, 91, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Monday, Jan. 31, 2011. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday Feb. 5, 2011, at Holy Family Church, 919 NE 96th St. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Nancy was born Aug. 27, 1919, in Kansas City, Mo., to Frank and Elena (Arnone) Troppito. She was a bomb inspector during WWII and also sang and entertained troops with the USO. She worked as a clerk at Kansas City, Mo., City Hall and the Jackson County Courthouse for over 25 years. She enjoyed politics and was active with the election board and various political campaigns. Nancy was a long-time member of Holy Rosary Parish where she sang in the choir. She was a loving and generous mother and grandmother who was devoted to her family. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent DiCavolo, in 1994, three sisters and three brothers. Survivors include a daughter, Mary DiCavolo; son and daughter-in-law, Vincent “Butch” and Cheryl DiCavolo; grandchildren, Lana Kelly, Shawn Kelly, Jill and Tyler Crowell, Deanne DiCavolo; great-grandchildren, Vincent Palmentere, Jacob Crowell; sister, Lucy Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
