Kudos to the more than 350 bikers who braved the temperature on Sunday on a 110-mile motorcycle ride through the Missouri countryside to raise money for City Union Mission.
This li’l newshound was on hand and all leathered up for the occasion given the overcast skies and chilly temps.
Ride organizers indicated that a little over $14,000 was raised in the effort. The annual event, now in its 22nd year, has raised more than $575,000 for City Union Mission’s homeless outreach programs.
Bikers weren’t the only ones to give back. Children of Assurant Employee Benefits’ employees stuffed backpacks full of school supplies for City Union Mission April 28. Assurant donated all the supplies.
