KANSAS CITY, Missouri —  The funeral procession for firefighter Larry Leggio will pass by a number of fire stations this afternoon as it winds its way from St. Patrick’s Parish near St. Pius High School, through the city en route to Mt. Olivet Cemetery, near 77th and Blue Ridge Boulevard.

The procession will start at roughly 12:30 p.m. and will be escorted by Kansas City Police Traffic Officers. Its route through Northeast will take the procession off I-35 at The Paseo then South to Ninth Street where it will turn left and go to Benton Boulevard. The procession will turn left on Benton to Independence Avenue where it will go east to Van Brunt past Station 23, then traveling south on Van Brunt to 31st Street. Motorists are advised to not use the Bruce R. Watkins Freeway between 12:30 and 2 pm.
