For the second year, Kansas City Public Schools and the KCPS Education Foundation are partnering with area public health providers to host Summerfest, 2022, Saturday August 13th from 10am to 3pm at East High School, 1924 Van Brunt Blvd. Like last year, this will be a drive-thru event. In addition to passing out free backpacks and school supplies, the district has partnered with area community health organizations to

Swope Health Services, Children’s Mercy, University Health, Kansas City Health Department and Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center will be on site, providing immunizations, COVID-19 vaccines, lead testing and other student health services.
