After a body was found Sunday, Feb. 2 in a homeless camp, Kansas City Police today identified the individual as 31-year-old Derrick Wallace.
Officers were dispatched to the area of 9th and Hardesty at 7:30 a.m. that morning and found a body in a homeless camp that had been burned.
Officers are investigating the incident as a homicide and more information will be given as details are released.

Information leading to an arrest could result in up to a $25,000 cash reward.
