HyVee, and the Kansas City MO Police Department teamed up again this past Friday afternoon for the eighth time on the Hams for Holidays event at East Patrol Station at 2640 Prospect Ave.

Four hundred, Hormel Cure-81 hams were distributed to those community members in need.

This year’s event started at 3pm at East Patrol and lasted until the hams run out at roughly 3:40pm.

“The feeding America campaign that we have this year, our goal is to feed over 100 million meals,” said Chris Wiltfong, area Store Director for HyVee.

“This is part of that it’s also part of a one step program, which is a yearly campaign just for HyVee to give back to our communities.”
