One juvenile is in critical condition tonight following a shooting on Independence Avenue.

According to Titan Security patrolling the avenue, there was a shooting in the parking lot of the strip of properties located at 3757 Independence Avenue.

The shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on the east side of the parking lot. There is one critically injured juvenile, who was sent off in an ambulance to the hospital.

There is no suspect in custody at this time. Titan Security was told by East Patrol Major Kari Thompson that police are currently trying to look at camera footage nearby to find the subject.

Update Wed., Aug. 24: A subject of interest was taken into custody, according to KCPD.
