Juanita Cantwell Carrico was born to Jeston Cantwell and Lona Torrance Cantwell on Jan. 29, 1927, in Norfork, Ark., and died at the age of 84 on Aug. 11, 2011, in Calico Rock, Ark.

A funeral service was held Aug. 13 at the Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Gale Wooten officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home, Calico Rock.

She spent her working years in Kansas City, Mo., in the shipping and receiving department at L-U-C-E Manufacturing. She also worked at Rothschilds Department Store in the purchasing department before taking early medical retirement and returning to Calico Rock in 1982.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law: Randy and Judy Carrico of Smithville, Mo., and Bruce Taylor of Northeast Kansas City, Mo.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Lowell Carrico and Russell Taylor; one daughter, Judy Dunaway; one brother and one sister.
