Jesse J. Sciortino, Jr.
Jesse James Sciortino Jr., 65, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Blue Hills Rest Home, Independence, MO. A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 23rd at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate, 313 W. Pacific Avenue, Independence, MO 64050.
Jesse was born August 29, 1953, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Jesse James Sr. and Alice Juanita (Monk) Sciortino. He grew up in Northeast Kansas City and attended Northeast High School. Jesse loved dune buggies and started a club in Independence in the 70’s called KC Buggies. He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed following them all over the U.S. to watch them play soccer.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Mickey Reynolds and Sharon House; one brother, Walter Elledge; and his first wife, Brenda Sciortino.
Survivors include his daughter, Denise Wilson (Mark) of Grain Valley, MO; son, James “Jimmy” Cabrini (Crystal Caley) of Warrensburg, MO; special “daughter”, Tracy Sinclair of Buckner, MO; nine grandchildren: Nicholas Shafer, Ryan Shafer, Dalton Wilson, Lorelei Cabrini, Sara Caley, Anna Caley, Maia Caley, Noah Caley, and Lila Sink; his girlfriend, Theresa Fell of Independence; lifelong friend, Karen Castellano of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces and nephews.
