Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce’s After Hours began as a way to network and promote local businesses. From AJ’s Bar to Central Bank of Kansas City to the Kansas City Museum, the chamber has hit up several businesses for its After Hours event.
“We’ve done it in the past, but we have a really energetic and excited committee chair person, Tom Soptick, who is putting these hosts together with the chamber,” Northeast Chamber President Bobbi Baker Hughes said.
Not only are the businesses inviting fellow chamber members, they’re also inviting Northeast residents. After Hours events always include delectable refreshments and prize giveaways.
The next chamber After Hours will be held at H&R Block, 5209 Independence Ave., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12. Be sure to bring your business cards!
“We’d like to see more residents come out, so they can see what all these businesses are about,” Baker Hughes said.
