Northeast neighborhoods are buzzing about Google Fiber, rallying their neighbors to pre-register for Google’s unprecedented service.

Google’s 1 gigabit per second Internet service could be a game changer for Kansas City, potentially attracting new businesses or causing already existing businesses in Kansas City to expand.

People across the globe are jealous of the two Kansas City’s and continue to urge Google to expand into their geographic region. Regardless of whether or not Google Fiber branches out to other regions, Kansas City will be the first to access the ultra high speed Internet. And all this Google gab is further cementing the fact that Kansas City will no longer be known as just a “flyover city.”

This li’l canine is impressed with the effort of Northeast neighborhoods to get behind Google. Two neighborhoods – Pendleton Heights and a portion of Scarritt Renaissance – have already earned a slot for guaranteed Google Fiber installation. As a result, several local entities will benefit, receiving free Internet service. Those receiving the free service will include Garfield Elementary School, Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School, the Kansas City University of
Medicine and Biosciences and the Kansas City Museum. This news-pooch is wagging her tail at the possibilities.

Receiving Google Fiber service will be another selling point to attract potential homebuyers and residents to Historic Northeast.
