Frontier Charter School hosted a gala ribbon-cutting event on Monday marking the grand opening of the school’s new Innovation Lab at the district’s central office in Executive Park, just off Front Street and I-435. Frontier Schools Superintendent Ugur Demerican was pleased about what the new Innovation Lab brought to the table for students.

“I’m really excited. These are additional learning opportunities we can offer our students,”  he said.  “This truly enhances our STEM focus, and this will enable us to offer additional STEM programs to our students,” Demerican stated.

Frontier has long been a leader in STEM education and has hosted the annual KC STEM Fest since 2016 at Union Station. STEM Fest spotlights hundreds of students from across the metro area involved in STEM education. The new facility is designed to empower students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in a quickly changing business climate.
