There’s more to the Farmers’ Market than fresh produce. As part of the ongoing Farm to Table Celebration Series, the City Market will host “For the Love of Meat” Saturday, Sept. 1, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Patrons will find a variety of meat choices from Farmers’ Market vendors, including grass fed beef, free range beef, hormone free beef, free range chicken, live chickens, free range buffalo, buffalo summer sausage and more.  As always, check out the extras, like seasonings, herbs and sauces.

Kids’ activities will take place in the Oddball Kids area from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other activities during the day will include the Kansas City Public Library’s used book sale, Harvesters donations, and free samples and recipes from the Culinary Center of Kansas City.
