Florence Risalvato, 89, died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2011, at St. Mary’s Manor of Blue Springs. The Mass of Christian Burial will was held March 1 at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 3736 Lee’s Summit Rd., Independence, Mo. Burial followed in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements are by Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, Kansas City, Mo.

Florence was born January 7,1922, in Kansas City, Mo., to Salvatore and Laura (Crapisi) Trombino. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo and going to the casinos. She had worked at Argosy.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph Risalvato; daughters, Loretta Risalvato and Cecelia Lutgen; and several brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Geraldine Risalvato and Salvatore Sciara Sr., John and Patty Risalvato, Kathy and Paul Gimmarro, Sam Risalvato; seven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances Tousa, Theresa and Nathal Occhipinti, Phyllis Trombino; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
