If you happen to be by The Concourse Fountain on the 13th, make sure to stop by with an empty stomach.
The fountain will be the site for the Feast of Fountains Food Truck Festival from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. this Thursday. It will include 4 trucks with a wide variety of food. Take a trip to South America with the Taste of Brazil truck, or enjoy a frozen treat from Polar Oasis to help beat the heat. The newer Casual Foodie Truck offers delights such as tacos and chicken wings, and you can enjoy an American classic at the Greg & Co. BBQ.
“Come hungry,” says Kansas City Parks spokeswoman Heidi Markle.
Food isn’t the only fun that the festival offers. Attendees can also enjoy live music, including the tunes of R&B artist Calvin Arsenia. Yard games will also be offered for people of all ages to play.
“There’ll be yard games on the lawn,” added Markle.
This is the 3rd annual Feast of Fountains Food Truck Festival, and throughout the years its become better and better. While it was took place in the middle of summer during its first year, customers can now enjoy warm food and cold treats on various dates throughout August to October.
All proceeds from the event go to The City of Fountains Foundation, which aims to perverse our city’s fountains.
