Tuesday morning at approximately 11:30am, Kansas City, MO Fire crews responded to a house fire in the 3700 block of Garner Avenue.

Upon arrival, crews reported smoke and fire showing from the atructure. Offensive interior operations were initiated to included searches of the structure. During the search of the structure crews were able to find and remove the occupant’s family dog. The dog was checked out on scene and appeared to be doing ok.

Crews were able to get the fire under control at approximately 1200 pm.
A Dangerous buildings inspection has been ordered. The  Red Cross is assisting the  two adults and five children. The cause of this fire is under investigation.
