This week’s Face of Northeast is our very own Managing Editor, Abby Hoover.

Before stepping into the role of managing editor in June, Hoover, née Cambiano, worked as the editorial assistant of Northeast News during the summer of 2017. She returned briefly as Interim Managing Editor in 2018 before she moved to Hudson, New York, where she reported for the Register-Star.

Hoover’s family lived in Historic Northeast when she was young, and she has fond memories of visiting her great grandma Nicky on Anderson Ave. As a past resident of Northeast, moving back to Kansas City as the new Managing Editor of Northeast News didn’t take long to get accustomed to.
When asked what her favorite part of Northeast is, Hoover said, “all the great organizations that work with the community and the willingness of neighbors to help each other out.”

Whenever she isn’t writing an article or covering a community event, Hoover can be found reading or trying new restaurants in Kansas City.
