Wimpy Club. Representatives from the Downtown Kansas City Optimist Club present 40 “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Third Wheel” books to the North-East Public Library. Once a month, youngsters meet at the library, 6000 Wilson Rd., for the Wimpy Kid Club to read from the book, act out scenes, create crafts and play games. The Downtown Kansas City Optimist Club is the oldest club in the international organization and was founded in 1916. The club wanted to adopt a project at the library and found out the library was in need of Wimpy Kid books.
