Hundreds of people celebrated Día de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, at the Kansas City Museum last weekend. Families were treated to live music by Pablo Sanhueza, puppetry by Stone Lion Puppets, and a mini Día de los Muertos fashion show by Haute Production. Children were able to decorate Calaca heads, make tissue flowers, contribute to a community altar installation, have their faces painted and sample traditional Día de los Muertos bread from Panaderia de las Americas. This program was presented in partnership with Mattie Rhodes Center.
