Summertime in Northeast is quickly approaching! Mattie Rhodes Center’s Northeast Summer Camp programming will begin the first week of July.

Sign your students up for CAMP WHAM! for an exciting summer of youth recreation and art activities that will transform your children’s imagination each week. CAMP WHAM! is Mattie Rhodes’ signature summer camp program, serving Northeast Kansas City Youth since 2015. 

Participants can register for one week or all five weeks at the Northeast location, 148 N. Topping Ave. All students receive a free lunch and snack provided by Harvesters of Greater Kansas City. The camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, with drop-off starting at 8:30 a.m. and pick up no later than 4:30 p.m.

“Additionally, we are planning to offer, beginning June, our Friday Night Events for 6 to 12 graders,” said Anthony Rea, Youth Development Coordinator at MRC.

The Friday events will be drop-in style with small group discussion, art and recreational activities.
