Thursday, February 9 – This month’s Northeast Chamber of Commerce Coffee, Culture & Conversation will be held at Yasmeen Cafe, 1447 Independence Ave., from 10 to 11 a.m. Come for conversation and try some chai tea and mandazi (Somali sweet bread), a cafe specialty. Saturday, February 11 – Don’t miss the Historic Northeast Sustainability Town Hall from 2 to 4 p.m. at Independence Boulevard Christian Church, 606 Gladstone Blvd. A panel featuring five representatives from different organizations doing work in the Northeast will discuss sustainability-related topics and take questions from attendees.

Tuesday, February 21 – Beans, Beads & Booze! The Northeast Chamber of Commerce celebrates Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday at J. Rieger Distilling Company, 2700 Guinotte Ave. in the East Bottoms.
