SATURDAY, MAY 7 – Hard To Recycle Event, 8:00 am – 12:00 noon, 1215 E Truman Rd, This cleanup is open to all KCMO residents! Items that will be collected: Tires, bulky, leaf and brush, electronics, document shredder, glass recycling, small appliances, clothes, tools, toys, and Hazardous waste (paints, household cleaners, fluorescent light bulbs, etc.). SATURDAY, MAY 7 – Cliff Drive Corridor clean-up. Meet at Gate 2 (St. John & Brooklyn) at 9 a.m. Volunteers needed to collect trash and remove invasive plants. SUNDAY, MAY 8 – Mother’s Day! Whether you buy Mom flowers or take her out to dinner, don’t forget to spend time with your mother this Sunday!

SATURDAY, MAY 14– Spring Block Party in Budd Park, 12- 3 p.m. celebrate the warm weather and your community with free games, kid’s activities, music, and food. Sponsored by the Mattie Rhodes center and Rygoku Soccer Academy.

Every Sunday – Art Garden KC, an outdoor art festival featuring local handmade arts/crafts, food trucks, live music, open mic, family activities and more! Free to attend. Located at 2233 Lexington Ave from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. (weather permitting)
