Thursday, March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day parade will begin at 11 am at Linwood and Broadway and proceed to 43rd Street. Erin Go Bragh!

Friday, March 18 – Knights of Columbus Chapter 15287, Lent Fish Fry, Holy Cross Parish, 5106 St. John Ave., 6-9 p.m. in the Parish Hall. $10 includes 2 tilapia filets, cole slaw, fries and a drink. Desserts available for extra charge.

Friday, March 18 – Lenten Fish Dinner at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 10113 E. Lexington, Independence. Served from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dinners from $12 to $14.50 include choices of boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, catfish filets, baked battered cod filets, french fries, boiled potatoes, coleslaw, hush puppies and cornbread. Ice tea, coffee, lemonade or water included with dinner. Beer and wine will be available. Fish sandwich with fries is $5; macaroni and cheese is $3.50. A la carte items may be purchased separately. Desserts are available separately.

Saturday, March 19 – Pendleton Heights Community Garden Work Day, 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Brooklyn Avenue and Minnie Street.
