Wednesday, March 9 – Wellness Wednesday at Central Bank, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., 2301 Independence Ave. Health screenings including blood pressure and cholesterol, health tips and snacks, prize drawing for a FitBit. Free event, masks are required.

Thursday, March 10 – Coffee, Culture and Conversation at 10 a.m. at the Northeast Chamber of Commerce, 2657 Independence Ave. Come join neighbors and business leaders for St. Pat’s Irish Cream Coffee & Treats, featuring a program about Irish culture and history. Free, all are welcome.

Friday, March 11 – Lenten “Meal Deal” to go at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church inside St. Joseph Hall at 3208 Lexington Ave. from 5 to 8 p.m. Baked cod filet sandwich with cheese, bag of chips, dessert and a bottle of water $10.

Friday, March 11 – Lenten Fish Dinner at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 10113 E. Lexington, Independence. Served from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dinners from $12 to $14.50 include choices of boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, catfish filets, baked battered cod filets, french fries, boiled potatoes, coleslaw, hush puppies and cornbread. Ice tea, coffee, lemonade or water included with dinner. Beer and wine will be available. Fish sandwich with fries is $5; macaroni and cheese is $3.50. A la carte items may be purchased separately. Desserts are available separately.

Saturday, March 12 – Brush & Leaf Drop-off center reopens. City residents may drop off yard waste free with proof of residency from 8 am to 5 pm, Saturdays only. 1815 N. Chouteau Trafficway, enter at Stillwell Rd.
