SEPTEMBER 17: Marimba Sol De Chiapas will bring music from Mexico and South of the Border to Friday in the Park at North Kansas City’s Festival Pavilion in Macken Park from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. OCTOBER 2: Community Fall Town Hall meeting with Samaritans Wingz, a newly formed 501c3 organization in Northeast serving the immigrant and refugee communities with direct services and support from strategic partnerships. From 12 to 2 p.m. at PH Coffee, 2200 Lexington, Samaritans Wingz will share info on their organization for those who are interested in supporting their mission.
OCTOBER 9: 100 trees for 100 years! Help us celebrate Country Club Christian Church’s Centennial by planting 100 trees in the Historic Northeast. Free trees from Heartland Tree Alliance will be planted in Concourse Park, along the street, and given away for residents to plant in their own yards from 9 a.m. to noon at Concourse Park.
