Thursday, Oct. 10- Coffee, Culture, and Conversation, 10 to 11 a.m. 2657 Independence Blvd. This month’s gathering will feature a special art project by artist Frederick Crawford and four specially painted drum barrels to be featured in Northeast neighborhoods. Coffee, treats, and presentation hosted by the Northeast Chamber of Commerce. All welcome.

Friday, Oct. 11- TMF Spooktacular Activities & Games, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., North-East Branch Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. Join Temple Made Fitness (TMF) for an hour of Halloween-themed activities and exercises. For ages 5- 12, free.

Saturday, Oct. 12- Northeast Kansas City Historical Society Homes Tour, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The 11th annual tour will feature 4 homes and a church in the Lykins neighborhood. Advance tickets may be purchased online at www.nekchs.org.

Saturday, Oct. 12- Guns to Gardens Safe Surrender Event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Central Presbyterian Church, 3501 Campbell Ave. Bring unwanted, unloaded firearms and surrender them safely, responsibly and anonymously. Guns will be dismantled and repurposed as garden tools and kitchen implements.

Saturday, Oct. 26- Cliffhanger 5K, 10K, Mile Walk, begins at 9 a.m. Run or walk during this annual event that highlights the fall beauty of Cliff Drive.
