Saturday, June 1– Book Sale, 11 am to 4 pm, Black Archives of Mid-America, 1722 E. 17th Terrace. Come browse a selection of books, magazines, LP vinyl records and more, priced from $1.00 to $5.00. Proceeds will go towards the archive’s collection fund to preserve documents and artifacts.

Wednesday, June 5– TMF Summer Fun, 5:30 to 6:30 pm, North-East Branch Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. Join fitness coach Tony Temple for an hour of fun activities for kids ages 5 to 12. Free.

Friday, June 7– Pop In at the Park, 3:30 to 5:30 pm at Lykins Square Park, 8th St. & Jackson Avenue. Fun activities and a  free book, free meals for kids age 1- 18. Held each week through August 16. Sponsored by the Kansas City Public Library.

Saturday, June 8– Wellness Block Party, 11 am to 2 pm, North-East Branch Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. Free vaccinations and health screenings, live music and family fun activities. Hosted by Our Healthy Jackson County, Indian Mound Neighborhood Association, and the Independence Plaza Neighborhood Council. Free.
