Friday, July 14 – Pop In at the Park at Budd Park from 3 to 5 p.m. Free books and art activities for kids. This week the fun and learning will focus on geology. Sponsored by the Kansas City Public Library, KC Parks and Recreation and Missouri State Parks.

Saturday, July 15 – Tai Chi in the Park returns to Independence Plaza Park at Independence and Brooklyn, on Saturdays 9-10 a.m. Join Instructor Gary Huff for an hour long session in the north part of the Independence Plaza Park adjacent to the Pendleton Arts Block. Free.

Saturday, July 15 – Pulga flea market at 2203 Lexington Avenue. An outdoor venue featuring local art, jewelry, food and more, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Friday, July 21 – Friday Summer Dusk Concert Series. Athletic Fields Amphitheater at the 9th & Van Brunt soccer facility from 7-9 p.m., featuring local musician Jack Summers. Presented by the Northeast Arts KC, the Neighborhood Tourism & Development Fund and the Parks and Recreation Department.
