The street sweepers are out and about in Northeast, which once again begs the question: What good do they really do sweeping around cars, often leaving more dust and debris in the street than before they started?

This newshound has long questioned the process, or lack thereof, in sweeping around stationary vehicles rather than mailing cards to area residents stating the date sweepers plan to sweep and requesting residents not park on the street that day.

We’re relatively certain things will remain status quo, however, with the passage of the new city budget. That leaves us with yet another year of haphazard street sweeping with lackluster results.
