KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City Police Department have one man in custody following a high-speed chase that took them throughout Kansas City Tuesday afternoon.

At around 3:15 p.m., officers attempted to pull-over the suspect for a routine traffic stop in the Midtown area. The suspect then led police on a chase through the Country Club Plaza, downtown and along Hwy. 70 before ending near the intersection of Bennington and Wilson Avenues in an industrial area of the Northeast. The suspect ditched his truck — which hit some cars during the chase — and attempted to flee on foot before being tackled by police in the parking lot of the American Textile Mill, Inc. parking lot.

Charges against the suspect are pending. The Northeast News will have more information about the chase as it becomes available.
