For the first time, Central High School will be hosting the Michael Watson/FCA Power Camp Tuesday, July 19, through Friday, July 22.

“There’s going to be every sport you can imagine,” Kansas City Missouri School District’s Assistant Athletic Director Jim Sanders said.

Sports will include basketball, football, volleyball, soccer, track and field, and cheerleading/dance.

Youth ages eight to 13 are encouraged to attend the camp, which costs $35.

Former Central High School and University of Missouri-Kansas City basketball star Michael Watson has partnered with FCA to offer the first ever Michael Watson/FCA Power Camp in Kansas City.

The goal of the camp is to “Change the Game” in the lives of inner city youth by providing a multi-sports camp in the Kansas City metro area.

Qualified coaches will lead each sport and focus on exercise, athletics, training and character development.

Camp will be offered from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. Lunch will be provided.
