Cheryl Fonville, a Library Aide at the North-East Branch, selected “Wilma’s Way Home: The Life of Wilma Mankiller” by Doreen Rappaport.
“I chose it because of her unending Cherokee belief that Cherokee people ‘all being interdependent, do things for others, rather than just for yourself,” Cheryl said. “She was the first female Chief of the Cherokee Nation, the second largest Indian nation in the United States. If we all followed her belief the world would be a better place.”
