Beads, beans and beers. Some call it a stellar combination to raise funds for Historic Northeast Events.

Both the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and the Historic Northeast Events are hosting the Beads, Beans & Beers Mardi Gras Live Auction Tuesday, March 8, to raise funding for automobile insurance on the Historic Northeast Events tour bus.

The bus will be used for the Chamber’s International Business Crawl on May 7.

Beads, Beans & Beers will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Askew Inn, 3600 Independence Ave., Kansas City, Mo. Advance tickets are $10 and $15 by March 4 and at the door. Tickets include Cajun beans, rice, cornbread, one free beer and Mardi Gras beads.

A live auction will begin at 7 p.m. and will coincide with the silent auction.

Masquerade costumes are encouraged and prizes will be handed to the best dressed King and Queen.
