Hard hat tours
Take a hard hat tour of Corinthian Hall, the more than 100-year-old home of lumber baron Robert A. Long and his family. Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Free tours will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Museum Kids Summer Drop-ins
The Kansas City Museum will host its summer drop-in program on Wednesdays and Fridays in July and August from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is free. Drop in with your child for games, music, stories and arts & crafts.
PIAC Hearing – District 4
Got an idea for a public improvement in your neighborhood? The Public Improvements Advisory Committee (PIAC) wants to hear from you! Fourth District hearings will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd.

La Chalupa Farmer’s Market
Mattie Rhodes Community Center, 148 N. Topping, will host La Chalupa Farmer’s Market every Thursday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Mattie Rhodes parking lot. EBT/SNAP cards will get extra dollars for local produce.

Honorable Flag Disposal
Got an American flag that’s seen better days? Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, in conjunction with the Catholic cemeteries of Kansas City, is sponsoring an honorable flag disposal event at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 7601 Blue Ridge Blvd. at 2 p.m. Old flags may be dropped off at Mt. Olivet before the event or in advance at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd. or at Resurrection Cemetery, 5001 N.E. Cookingham Road.
In the Pink of the Evening Summer Concert Series
Northeast Arts KC’s next installment of its summer concert series will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Colonnade at Concourse Park. The concert will include a round-up of area food truck vendors along Gladstone Boulevard. Featured band will be Beau Bledsoe and Zhanna, classic guitar and flamenco dancing.

NEKCHS kick-off meeting
Newly formed Northeast Kansas City Historical Society (NEKCHS) will be hosting its first informational session at the North-East Public Library on Thursday July 26 at 7 p.m. The event will provide general information on NEKCHS followed by a question and answer session on the group’s upcoming fall historic homes tour — tentatively slated for October 20.
