Hard hat tours
Take a hard hat tour of Corinthian Hall, the more than 100-year-old home of lumber baron Robert A. Long and his family.  Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, Mo., will now host the free tours on Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

HELP Public Safety Committee Meeting
Attend the HELP Public Safety Committee meeting at 4 p.m. at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd., for two guest speakers: Major Ron Fletcher of East Patrol KCPD, and Alissia Canady, the Jackson County neighborhood prosecutor. Both will offer insight on their roles in the neighborhood and be available to answer questions.

Celebrate the birthday of Loula Long Combs, daughter of lumber Baron Robert Long, with the Paul Mesner puppet show “The Long Story of Corinthian Hall” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at the Plaza Branch Library, 4801 Main St., Kansas City, Mo. Cake and punch will be provided.

Repurposing site tours for NE Middle, Thacher
Kansas City Public Schools will host a site tour of shuttered Northeast Middle School and Thacher Elementary. The site tour will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Northeast Middle, 4904 Independence Ave. Following the tours, a meeting will be held at 6:15 p.m. at North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd., to discuss reuse options.
