Cultures Without Borders art exhibit will host a closing reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at UMB Bank, 6400 Independence Ave., Kansas City, Mo.

Low cost pet vaccination clinic
Don Bosco Centers and Spay & Neuter Kansas City have teamed up to offer $10 pet vaccinations for dogs and cats. Pet owners can also purchase a $10 global positioning system (GPS) microchip, which Spay & Neuter employees will safely insert in the pet. Those with qualifying incomes will be given a discount voucher to spay or neuter their pet. The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Don Bosco’s gym, 531 Garfield, Kansas City, Mo.

Sorority homeownership seminar
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Beta Omega Chapter will host a free homeownership seminar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brush Creek Community Center, 3801 Brush Creek Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. The seminar will feature guest speakers, financial booths and informative materials with one-on-one consultation. All are welcome.

EMPOWER Kidney Disease Classes

Free mammograms
Sign up for free mammograms through Sheffield Family Life Center. Sheffield received a grant from Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Kansas City, in partnership with St. Luke’s Cancer Institute, to provide free mammograms to women who qualify. Appointments are being accepted now and the mammograms will be offered on July 28 at Sheffield Family Life Center, 5700 Winner Rd., Kansas City, Mo.
