Community crime meetings
Community members are continuing to meet every Wednesday at noon at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. The group discusses neighborhood safety concerns and forwards the list to the police department. All are welcome.
Hard hat tours
Take a hard hat tour of Corinthian Hall, the more than 100-year-old home of lumber baron Robert A. Long and his family. Visitors will see Corinthian Hall in mid-renovation, the bare interior of the building exposed for the first time in decades. Visitors will examine 100-year-old craftsmanship, see the ornate salon and library, and view the exquisite stained glass windows. Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, Mo., will host the free tours on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Bring your preschooler to the Kansas City Museum at 10:30 a.m. to learn about architecture and design your own building. The museum is located at 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, Mo.

GSP’s Corks & Canvas
Good Samaritan Project’s Corks & Canvas art, food and wine auction will be held at Studio Dan Meiners, 2500 W. Pennway, Kansas City, Mo. A patron preview hour will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the main event running from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person. The mission of Good Samaritan is to provide advocacy, care and education to those affected by HIV, AIDS and STDs. Kansas City Museum Summer Concert Series
Follow jazz melodies on summer breezes at the Kansas City Museum’s Summer Concert Series. For the third year, the Kansas City Museum and Northeast Arts KC will be entertaining summer guests with great Kansas City artists. On June 10, listen to the Brad Cox Sextet at 7 p.m. at the museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, Mo. Cost is free.

6th Annual Bar-b-que
Children’s Memorial Lutheran Church, 5001 Independence Ave., Kansas City, Mo., will hold its 6th Annual Bar-b-que from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 12. Menu includes smoked brisket, pork, chicken, corn on the cob (if available), salads, beverages and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under 6. Taste of St. Anthony’s
