KC Museum Hard Hat Tour
Take a hard hat tour of Corinthian Hall, the 100+ year old home of lumber baron Robert A. Long and his family. Visitors will see Corinthian Hall in mid-renovation, the bare interior of the building exposed for the first time in decades. Visitors will also tour the exhibit inside Corinthian Hall: Planning for the Future: Find History at Kansas City Museum. Admission is free and this week’s tours will be held Wednesday through Friday at 2 p.m. at the museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd.
Fizz, Boom, Fun
Join the North-East Library at 3 p.m. for crazy science experiments and explosive crafts! Something new will be assigned each week!

Riverfest
KC RiverFest, the Independence Day celebration hosted by the city blasts off at Richard L. Berkley Riverfront Park at 4 p.m. Friday, July 4. The festival will feature live, local music on two stages, more than 10 food trucks and food vendors, cold drinks and ice cream, a giant kids’ play area and a custom fireworks show by the 120-year-old Zambelli Fireworks company, one of the largest pyrotechnic firms in the world. Admission to the festival is free between 4 and 5 p.m., and $5 per person after 5 p.m.; there is no charge for children younger than 12. Festival-goers are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs, but no coolers, glass or outside food or beverages will be permitted. The fireworks extravaganza will get underway at dark (or around 10:15 p.m.).

Spanish lessons
Join the North-East Library for free Spanish lessons. Two ongoing sessions are available for the cost of a free will donation. Beginner classes take place every Saturday from 10 a.m. – noon and advanced classes follow from noon – 2 p.m. To enroll, contact learnwithpepe@hotmail.com.
First Friday Four Corners Celebration
The Independence Ave CID, Northeast Chamber of Commerce, and Historic Northeast Events will host Four Corners Celebration from 4 – 6 p.m. Saturday, July 5, at the intersection of Benton Boulevard and Independence Ave. The event will continue on the first Saturday of the month at different intersections in the Historic Northeast Community.
The event will feature the theme of Bubbles, Blooms, & Balloons and will be a family-friendly atmosphere for the community. The event will include an unveiling of new logos for each of the above organizations.
Computer Class–general
Learn about navigating your computer in this class, which offers insight into hardware and software components. Class begins at 10:30 a.m. at the North-East Public Library.

Northeast Book Club
Join the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd., for its monthly Northeast Book Club at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 6. Share your passion for books and join in on riveting book discussions.
Tuesday, July 8
Kansas City Digital Media Lab
The KCDML is open to youth ages 13-18 every Tuesday from 3:30 – 7 p.m. at the Kansas City Library. It’s a safe space for youth who are interested in, or want to learn more about storytelling and/or coding. You’ll have access to equipment and adult collaborators to learn, create, and grow. All of the adult collaborators have had background checks and are simply available to help youth take their expertise and interest to the next level.
Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association Meeting
The Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association will host its monthly meeting from 7 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.
