Community crime meetings
Community members are continuing to meet every Wednesday at noon at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. The group discusses neighborhood safety concerns and forwards the list to the police department. All are welcome.

 

Northeast High School graduation
Northeast High School will hold its graduation at 7 p.m. in the Municipal Auditorium, 300 W. 13th St., Kansas City, Mo.

 

Tours of the Mansion
Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, Mo., will host “Tours of the Mansion” at 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Feature film “Bad Blood: The Border War that Triggered the Civil War” will be shown at noon and 2 p.m.

Salvation Army Neighborhood Celebration

EMPOWER Kidney Disease Classes
Free EMPOWER Kidney Disease classes are available on Tuesdays form 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Learn how to take control of kidney disease and make healthy choices. Upcoming locations include: Providence Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan., on June 7 and Truman Medical Center Lakewood, Lee’s Summit, Mo., on June 14.

 

GSP’s Corks & Canvas
Good Samaritan Project’s Corks & Canvas art, food and wine auction will be held Friday, June 10, at Studio Dan Meiners, 2500 W. Pennway, Kansas City, Mo. A patron preview hour will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the main event running from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person. The mission of Good Samaritan is to provide advocacy, care and education to those affected by HIV, AIDS and STDs.
