The Kansas City T-Bones are under new ownership after being evicted from their stadium in Village West last week.

Local businessman, Mark Brandmeyer, the prospective owner, entered into an agreement between the Unified Government (UG) of Wyandotte County and Max Fun Entertainment, LLC.

The UG evicted the T-Bones after the previous owner, Ehlert Development Corporation, accumulated over $760,000 in rent and utility payments.

In 2014, the Unified Government took over ownership of the Community America Ballpark, making the T-Bones a tenant.
Max Fun Entertainment is owned by Brandmeyer, partner at Brandmeyer Enterprises and Built, a prefab construction partner of Dirtt servicing companies in Kansas and Missouri.

The new owners plan to put more effort into year-round entertainment features of the stadium, including potentially adding an ice skating rink, a sports bar, sand volleyball, pickleball courts, and a restaurant.

“Under the five-year contract, Max Fun Entertainment will be responsible for paying day-to-day operations and maintenance, utility bills, and property taxes for the adjacent parking lot and community maintenance fees,” according to the press release from October 15.

The agreement was approved and the deal will now go before the American Association baseball league for approval within the next couple of weeks.
