Last weekend, two presidential candidates paid a visit to Kansas City. Ted Cruz and Donald “The Donald” Trump. The dog was too busy judging high school debate to attend either rally, but pictures told the story, especially from the Trump rally and the associated protests that ultimately drew police action to quell the riotous mob. This dog finds it interesting that the same people who are demanding their views be heard and respected are the same ones trying to silence voices they disagree with.

Interesting that this hateration and violence is coming, supposedly from the party of peace, understanding, good will and tolerance. Riiiiiight. They’re tolerant as long as you play nice with them and subscribe to their every thought and belief. Step out of line and you’re a racist, sexist, bigoted homophobe bent on the ultimate destruction of every fiber of the United States of America.

This dog has nothing against peaceful assembly. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. proved through his actions and words that mountains can indeed be moved through peaceful protest and a targeted message. It was largely because of his actions and urgings that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed in to law. Apparently, Dr. King’s legacy is lost on this new bunch of millennial violent socialists bent on silencing anyone and everyone they don’t agree with through any means possible, including violent uprisings.

This right-of-center news pooch finds it interesting that the very ones howling about so called police brutality are the very ones who broached the barricades and started the melee to begin with. Note: don’t complain about getting sprayed with mace if you’re the ones that instigated the riot. Kudos to the Police Department for exercising extreme restraint, as well as not letting this rent-a-mob riot turn into a full blown Ferguson type war game. As for the protesters, your ignorant actions have put us right up there with Chicago and St. Louis. Way to keep it classy KC.
