Northeast News
September 16, 2015
This past weekend, publishers, editors and other newspaper staffers gathered in Columbia, Mo., for the Missouri Press Association convention and awards luncheon. This Newsdog is pleased to announce that our own Northeast News once again secured some brass for our editorial abilities.
This year we netted three awards in MPA’s Better Newspaper Contest and we think its something to crow about! Art Director Kirstie Mulligan scored a third place award for her “Royals Thank You Rally” photograph following last year’s World Series appearance. Managing Editor Joe Jarosz, Publisher Michael Bushnell, former Editor Leslie Collins and Political Satirist El Bryan Stalder scored a second place award for their ongoing coverage of the streetcar expansion debate. Lastly, El Bryan scored a third place nod for his Free Zoo Day political cartoon.
