Well it’s campaign season once again and this newsdog is already seeing politicians hiring hacks to plant their yard signs in the public right of way.

Here are two of the more egregious offenders to date. The illegal signs typically get planted during the overnight hours when a roving campaign worker can easily plant a hundred signs in a two-hour time frame under the cover of darkness. Political candidates take note, this news writin’ canine will be watching this season and will be quick to spotlight those who continually flaunt the law by placing what can be considered junk signs on public property.

One would certainly think that candidates running for city council would know the laws of the city they want to represent. But then again, that would be asking too much. They’re called yard signs for a reason. They go in yards, specifically the yards of supporters, not the yards of abandoned houses. As the elections gets closer, this news pooch knows the proliferation of illegal signs will spike exponentially. Vigilant residents and this lil’ doggie will pull them up and report the scofflaw politicos to the proper authorities. You have been warned.
