Indian Mound Thacher Meeting
Indian Mound Neighborhood Association will host a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, to discuss viable options for the former Thacher Elementary and provide progress updates. All are invited to attend this meeting, regardless of whether you live in Indian Mound or not. The meeting will be held at North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd., Kansas City, Mo.
Community Development Workshop
The Community Capital Fund is partnering with Communities Creating Opportunities and the Greater Kansas City Local Initiatives Support Corporation to offer a free Community Development Workshop. The workshop will bring together neighborhood associations, non-profits, public agencies, residents and other stakeholders that live and work in historically under-invested and under-resourced communities in Kansas City, Mo. Workshop participants will be able to network with people doing similar work, share insights on how to best address issues and opportunities in the area, and connect to critical resources. In addition, keynote speaker Rodrigo Davies will discuss the role of crowdfunding in civic engagement and civic projects.
